The Big Bang
A spark inside the head is an ignition for action. Like here, the evolution of an image. I'm the kind of perfectionist who tends to plan to the tiniest details. The spark dies out, when even the final result is clear on that plan. In painting, I try to teach myself to follow the spark instead of holding it. I'm sure our Creator isn't a perfectionist. He made the spark by accident and here we are until this all ends with another big bang.
2021. Acrylics on 40x60 cm canvas. Waiting for varnish and being framed.
The eye of an explosion in detail, looks like a fish.
This was the “spark”. Unwanted marine blue paint straight from the tube here and there around an empty canvas. After a week or so, more leftover paints appeared and an idea of an explosion was growing. “Don’t waste paint”, my grandmother kept telling me. This might be the reason why, or she wanted me to do some real work.
