Found His Way Out
"Life is", as we Finns say, meaning; "shit happens". At times these situations can cause unbearable anxiety and stress. No matter how bad you feel, calm yourself; there's always an opening out. You'll find it, but you need to work for it. I'm most scared to lose something when searching for a solution. But when I find it, I'm free to move on toward new adventures and different "shitty" situations in life.
2022. Acrylics on 40x50 cm canvas. Mixed media. Waiting for varnish and being framed.
Same as with “The Big Bang” earlier; strokes of paint straight from the tube here and there on the canvas and let them dry. Later on, the idea comes and I started creating what I found. Figures causing the anxiety; monsters from bad dreams. Sea creatures and a shipwreck of cardboard down beneath the waves. A couple of whales as well on both sides of the escaping sailor. The walls of the trap had been broken and the monsters furiously tries to reach him, but too late…
As the shiny shipwreck down the right corner. The main sail and the hull of the little boat are made of paper for a relief effect.
